Giants

This is a coming-of-age story about a group of boys growing up in West Memphis, Arkansas, in the ‘60s and early ‘70s. The trees become the proverbial Woodlawn Giants, watching over these kids as they grow up, embark on adventures, and take on neighborhood adversaries while learning about life in all its joys and pains.

About the Author

Williams was born in 1960 in Memphis, Tennessee, before his family moved to West Memphis, Arkansas, right across the Mississippi River, setting up shop at 621 East Woodlawn, right around where the proverbial pine giants in his novel stood.
